Ode to that Girl
Ode to that girl who looked at sunflowers and saw beauty,
Not something that couldn't live on it's own.
Ode to that girl who could sit on the edge of a cliff and see a sunset,
But not think jump.
Ode to that girl who saw love and thought that maybe one day she would have it too,
Not the girl who sees that love brings nothing but pain.
Ode to that girl who thought that there was a bigger meaning behind everything,
Not the girl who now sees that there is nothing.
Ode to me, "that girl,"
The part of me that used to see meaning, beauty, sunsets, and love.
She was taken from me, becasue of him.
Now I know she's never coming back.
