Ode to God’s Gloria

The day of Jesus soon to come,

his birth so very, very near,

born so far from home

with his life he did endear

for us to care, rescue, and protect

all women, children, those in need.

Feeding so they may live

with dignity and respect.

We must reject our selfish greed,

with God’s true help we so do give.

I am a retired high school and college professor. The last 10 years of my teaching was as a college professor of literature and writing. I have self-published one book of prayers and meditations and am preparing another book of poetic odes to faith and love. I am truly honored to be welcomed into this group.
