Ode to the Good Times

Ode to the good times

When the only thing I was afraid of was spiders

When the only thing I dreaded was multiplication tests

When the only thing that worried me

Was how to do my hair

Ode to the lazy Saturdays

in the park or at the O.C. Fair

Ode to the fun we had

And the laughter we shared

To all the friends I had

And all the people who cared

When money wasn't so tight

When I could enjoy the day

And sleep through the night

Ode to the good times

For those days are gone

But I'd be a fool not to know

That all good things end

So I thank you Lord

For giving me these memories

Which are owed to the good times
