Ode to Growing Up
Ode to the young Children
Who are playful and free spirited
Their lives lie ahead
To make it their own
Ode to the Teenagers
Who've overcome their own difficult battles
Yet still seem to understand the importance of life
Oblivious to the joyous and destructive times ahead
Ode to the Adults
For they can make their own decisions
They feel as if they can conquer the largest mountain
However unable to realize the true test of the journey
Ode to the Middle Aged
They believe their lives are coming to an end
In truth, it is only the beginning
Do not hang up your running shoes just yet
Ode to the Senior Citizens
Their bones strong yet brittle
Spirit worn, but easily rejuvenated
Always their to help the confused
Ode to the Elderly
Who are losing grip on life
Shoulders bearing with the endeavors of the past
Ready to be free of it all
