Ode to H2O

Your sweet scent encases my being Like a cool refreshment you kindle my fire; I pour through the day, blissfully swinging You nurture me making sure I don’t expire. Your metamorphosis comes with a stinging bite I’m frigid as you, set in this everlasting routine; Day after day, the same and the same, no more light I wonder how much longer I’ll be a machine. You chill me to the bone, Whipping my essence until the day I’m no longer on loan And You take me away. You’ve seen me through both ends Liquid, Ice, Air always on bends.
