Ode to Happiness

Ode to Happiness

sitting in an old chair, gazing upon the trees

with nothing but coffee, my journal, and ink

whispers from my sister, screams from my brother

pure joy, ode to happiness

Sunday morning, happy as ever

love to my brother and sister, who are, oh so clever

apart from each other is a definite never

in the mountains, no disturbance

planes passing over quietly

every sentence, every line

ode to happiness

new beginnings and beautiful people

blaring music and exciting experiences

i could never forget him

but being happy and content

makes it easier
