Ode to Hardwork

You’re ugly

You’re tense

No offense

Don’t harm me!

When daylight comes

It’s you I sense

No defense

It’s you I must face

Hardwork

You leave me sweating

The other day

You had me almost bed-wetting

Exhausted!

You’ve left my broken

You’ve left my feel swollen

I’m allergic to pollen

But from the flower garden

You were calling!

Yet

You never fail me

The other day,

So handsomely,

 you paid me

You’ve never played me

That is why I love you

O hardwork!

So this one is for you!
