Ode to the Heart

Hearts are things that let us feel

They give us courage to love

We feel things such as pain

Without them we have no way to live

a heart can be filled with joy

or filled with endless sorrow

when confused in love some become blind

but others love just enough feeling can lead to great things

or pain will grow inside and become cold

After every broken heart we must heal

our pain will eventually fly away

we hope better things pour down like rain

at first we may hate , but we must forgive

otherwise life we will not enjoy

because if we do not with pain we shall bellow

so we must learn to be kind

hearts and feelings make things tough

but over time there are lessons pain will bring

and the pain once felt will soon become old

the pain we felt which once was real

out oif the pit of sorrow we will rise above

and from our mistakes strength we will gain

the satisfaction of moving on we will have

and any trace of lost love we destroy

pain will come back maybe even tommorow

the joy that the heart may find

will help pull through when things get tough

there still will be a pain that stings

but the heart can never be controlled
