Ode to Individuality

Through criticism and glances

Laughter and angrer

i have stuck to my way

Watching the world as robots go by

No insides, no emotions

Not knowing how to function

I stand my ground of abnormality

Thanking my creator for my individuality

Living life to its fullest

Not following the norm

Feeling

The skies turn gray in disapproval

Mocking our colorless world

Weeping for the lack of expression

While I fall to my knees

Praying for a brighter tomorrow

Hoping for the colorful pieces of the sky to reassemble
For the sun to shine through the clouds again

In my despair, though, I am thankful

Thankful that our kind still exists

For our ability to impact the rest of the world

Thankful for the hope, the reassurance

That not all hope is lost

Help make the world feel human again.

This poem is about being human. You should live in this world, not just exist. People have been taught that materialism is the most important factor of this world, when it is truly emotions that should be favored.
