ODE TO THE "LITTLE SISTER"

Sweet and lovable Yet tough and independent With an endless smile That's completely transcendent; Long strips like mahogany wood Fall from her crown Green eyes that dazzle When she looks around; Many memories shared; Our connection unimpaired Laughter fills the air A thick cloud of joy Two Children together A little girl and boy; These are the early years Enjoying each other in our innocence Her company is unmatched Her friendship is limitless; With her overwhelming compassion; She could dismantle an assassin All grown up A graduation near However to lose our connection I do not fear; She will be accomplished and successful The world her oyster The world should be waiting To cherish and adore her; My first friend, my best friend Who I will treasure, till the end.
