Ode to love

Ode to love,

The beautiful dove,

Soaring through the sky,

Lifting hearts so they might fly high.

Yet what flies can fall,

Crashing to the Earth to crumble,

After being up a hundred metres tall,

Causing the owner to hurt and stumble,

When the heart is fumbled.

Yet even after falling,

Can again a heart rise,

Again can they explore the skies.

And again can they fall,

From a height so tall,

From above Saint Michael,

To below the deepest sea,

In a most vicious of cycles.
