Ode to momma
I watched my Mom fill out an application.
I looked at the line that asks about past professions.
I thought to myself, that space is too small
Because my mom was the best of them all
I don’t want to name all her professions
But here’s a few
She was a teacher when I asked a question.
She was a priest when I had a confession.
She was a doctor when I was sick
She was my best friend when I needed her
Oh, how I love you momma
Your greatly appreciated.
