Ode to Mountain Dew

Oh how I treasure my sweet Mountain Dew,

Whose fluorescent liquid gleams like the sun.

Providing pleasure to more than a few,

Your sugar content prompts my heart to run.

Like sweet Jupiter, the bringer of joy,

Your rich nectar causes me happiness.

To my appetite a Helen of Troy,

You put my health at risk with your caress.

My supreme dependency on your juice

Puts my body in frightful jeopardy.

With indulgence comes physical abuse

And a health diminished effectively.

To save my body, your drink I will ditch,

But a piece of my soul will stay Dew rich.
