An ode to my best friend

When times are bleak and everything feels sad
Think of all the great times we’ve had
When you’re ripped apart by memories of the past
Think of how it all came to pass
When you think of your losses and you want to cry
Know that I’ll always be there to wipe your tears dry
When you feel wretched about life in general
Just give me a call and I’ll make everything come full circle
So wherever you are, doing whatever just know this;
You are resilient, you are forthright
You’re the one I first call when I’m in a plight
You are my best friend for eternity
For forever seems like such a short time
Where you are concerned
Amidst the cacophony of lies, two faced tricksters’ never ending charades
There is one thing I know for certain
And that is;
You and I are two pieces of the same soul
Two sides of the same coin
And when the world ends and we all become nothing but a memory
Our bond will cross over to the other side
Now and forever more
Your best friend for eternity
