Ode to My Father

Love is all You've shown me

When I disobeyed

You punished.

I said I was sorry...

You forgave.

And rewarded.

It happened again.

You know I am but a child.

A child clinging onto Your every word

Your every action

You are my role model.

You teach me through my ignorance

You guide me to the right roads of adulthood

In my pubescent years,

You sat me down in that shower

And disciplined me.

Lord, I'm sorry!

I need You

Come back

Hold my hand.

Hold me and tell me You'll always be there for me.

Your daughter needs you.

You are my source of happiness.

Without You, I am nothing.

I am unworthy.

I am sin.

I have always and forever known I was truly meant to be Yours

I thank You for all of Your hard work

And patience

Thank You for having me

Thank You for You

This is Your ode.
