Ode to my glasses

Ode to my glasses

Handy,

Flexible,

They are a part

Of me.

I couldn’t live

Properly without them,

Helping me along the

Path of life.

You’ve been with me

Since the second grade

And every time I envision myself

I am always portrayed with you

And not apart.

Unless (eye) get surgury

To improve the condition

You satisfy

You will always be

A part of

Me.

Even at times

When I would misplace you,

I would always manage

To locate you.

It must be some

Sort of radar vision

That assists me.

And you have been able to

Withstand heavy falls,

And massive crushes,

And lengthy bends,

However do you always succeed

In maintaining your complete form.

Thank you for being

The light on my

Path of life.
