Ode To My Mom
Mom, you have been there when no one else was.
We have gone through hell and back together,
Never giving up hope for the future.
You’ve taught me what it means to be strong.
You are the most strong and independent women I’ve ever met
I cannot express how proud I am of you.
You are always looking out for everyone but yourself,
Never even taking a sick day when you have the flu.
Doing everything in your power to provide for us,
Even when you think you have nothing else to give.
I know sometimes it feels like you are alone in this
But I can promise you, you are not.
I will always be here for you,
Even when you refuse my help.
Because everyone needs a little help sometimes.
No matter how strong you are.
I am constantly amazed by your strength.
When my world seems to be crumbling all around me,
You are able to pick me up and dust me off.
You do so even when it kills you a little inside.
You don’t want to break down in front of me,
But I want you to know that it’s okay to not be okay.
You don’t need to hide your feelings to spare mine,
It’s not healthy for either one of us.
So when You don’t think you can take it anymore,
Just remember that I will be there
Because I love you more.
