An ode to my mother

Every day I woke up to look in the mirror.

Sometimes I would see a small man.

In some occasions a monster.

Other times a shadow.

But I never saw my shadow.

I went to the kitchen to see you.

Sometimes you would scold me.

In some occasions ignore me.

Other times cry to me.

But you always loved me.

I went to school all day.

Sometimes I would fall asleep.

In some occasions leave the class.

Other times get in trouble.

But I always had your hope in me.

I would go to bed at night.

Sometimes I would have sweet dreams.

In some occasions nightmares.

Other times I wouldn't sleep.

But I always saw your smile.

- Thank you mother.
