Ode to My Rabbit

Location

Ode to My Rabbit

(Goes with Jingle Bells)

Jumping in the air

Like the cute rabbit you are

I see your white hair

Stand out in our yard

As you run around

In our cramped backyard,

Your white fur flashing against brown

Dirt and twigs and mud

Oh, hopping here, hopping there

Hopping everywhere

Oh what fun it is to watch

You frolicking through the air

Leaping here, leaping there

Leaping everywhere

Oh what fun it is to watch

You being so happy

A day or two ago

I thought I’d take a sec

To grab my tennis ball

And my tennis racquet

But who would’ve ever known

That as soon as I left

You’d visit lawns next to our own

And show me how you’re deft

Oh, hopping here, hopping there

Hopping everywhere

Oh what fun it is to watch

You frolicking through the air

Leaping here, leaping there

Leaping everywhere

Oh what fun it is to watch

You playing so happily

Hopping here, hopping there

Hopping everywhere

Oh what fun it is to watch

You frolicking through the air

Leaping here, leaping there

Leaping everywhere

Oh what fun it is to watch

You playing so happily
