Ode to Myself
I speak into your mind with these verses so irreversible,
Unrehearsed no cropping making sure it’s all fresh,
I’m inspired by seeing all your issues readdressed,
By showing me that you at least second guess,
Meaning to criticize yourself and reflect with the benefit of hindsight,
Achieving new heights no sour from the limelight,
No beat necessary I captivate a crowd with lyrical ability,
Speaking the truth and in all sincerity,
All the people who never gave me the opportunity should start fearing me,
I call myself the best not cause I’m a narcissist,
But for all the work I put in when you chose not to be a part of it,
Every heart I never broke and every cheek I never kissed,
I wish you all the best from the kid rapping on the park bench,
The fire that’s lit inside of my rap is the way I quench,
This little punk who made old hogs turn into piglets,
The hate texts arrive exposing all your egos,
Take the e out in mean and wish that all ease goes,
Until the questions I’m posing are answered I’ll repose them again but I will never repose,
But in the mean time I’m learning to balance out my highs from my lows,
Changing flows like the ocean flows,
Controlled by the moon as the sun lights a brighter day,
Make or break silence but together we must keep the faith,
Cause you gotta work your legs if you wanna take a leap of faith,
I want success; I want success so much I have to say it twice,
My lyrical ability will leave all of you scratching your heads no head lice,
No I’m not the nicest I just live life like it,
My lines paint bars that will never utter the words “I QUIT”
