Ode to Netflix

O cherry-red thing of stark outline,

access to the vault of portals sublime.

O indulger of my every mood

A constant reminder of my should’s and do’s.

O distractor of my mortal brain,

thy sweet comp’ny is to blame...

....O enabler of my procrastination...

for my utter lack of production.

O protector of the introverts

a pleasant muse to the covert.

O thing full, yet averse to society,

I command you; yet I fear thy pow’r o’er me.

I shall rise and overcome,

I shall turn you off, good Netflix, and be done.

I shall continue to write my odes,

After this one episode…
