Ode to a Newborn Spring

After the lion roared a boastful growl, the baby's cries started to whimper out.

The drizzling tears of the angel's eyes cleared as they encountered the mother's rosy cheeks

And the sweaty dew running over her brow.

The mom's smile reflected a light glow on to her new born.

She pulled the little one in to give her a warm hug.

Yes, it's a girl!

With wondering blue eyes that flew from a new observation, feeling, idea.

Her barely there hairs swayed to the wind in hopes of growing, stretching to the clouds.

Her legs quick and subtle jerks squirmed her like a worm.

A happy whistle floated from the mom's sweet voice to being perched on nearby ears.

Mother's gentle pinks kissed her daughter's equally rosy cheeks.

And as the strong oakhands of the doctor pulls her away,

A soft smile of the mother quickly glanced till the stocky build of the doctor blocked her from her young.

Then the babe wrapped in her blanket was placed in her cotten filled crib,

And she watched lambs leap through her dreams.
