Ode to O2

 Ode to O2

The Lady in Red turns Blue without You,

The Greens of the Trees yearn to Respire,

Their Desire grows higher

As the Fire requires every liter of you!

The irons of ages long past sense,

have ever since You,

been Yellow and Blue.

But omnipotent be You?

I laugh not!

For no, You are not.

For the microbes below

Use sulfur, behold!

Yet Oxygen, Oh Oxygen,

I Live Not Without You.
