Ode to the Paintbrush

Oh paintbrush, your

beauty is

alluring.

Your

slender

alabaster

body is

smooth

to my touch.

The perfect length

of your

chestnut brown hair,

gleaming

in the sunlight.

While gracing

your neckline,

an

elegant

platinum

necklace.

You, oh

paintbrush

act as

imagination’s

hand, creating

flawless

artwork out of

nothing

extraordinary.

You make

picturesque

sunsets,

full of vivid colors that

entice

young lovers to

kiss.

Quaint

mountainsides

tipped with

snow and castles,

making a child’s

dreams

come true.

And you, paintbrush

bring my

childhood

dreams,

adventures,

and

greatest pleasures

into reality.

I cannot contain

the joy I feel

when you

dance

with my hand

along the paper,

just as a woman,

beautiful

in every aspect

dances among the

clouds

with her

lover.
