Ode to a Poem
"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" These words inspire to write while drinking tea. I write the words my heart knows how to say, but lips know not, though eloquent they be. O, places far away, I'm dreaming of. And friends afar, they also make my thought. Remembering my dreams of both, I love, To write of them, for soon, they be forgot. To share the journey that my life must take, my pen inscribes the fear that floods my mind. The pain within my heart makes me to ache, But soon that path will be left far behind. I write to share my hopes and to be heard, That others may find hope within my word.
