Ode to Roadkill.

Poor little bunny, you ran out in front. Fast as the blowing wind, the only thing on your mind was getting across. Poor little kitty, you ran out front. Once as sweet as summer rain, the only thing on your mind was to get back home. Poor little doggie, you ran out front. Once as jolly as Santa, the only thing on your mind was the birds above. Poor little crow, you flew out front. Once as squawky as a rusty door, the only thing on your mind was the tree ahead. Now all gone An unfair, unprepared death. Hopeless, lifeless, road kill.
