Ode to Roy

It's the setting of the sun in May; Expression of a man gone livid The leaves of autumn in brilliant array. Calm and striking, gentle and vivid. Golden, lively petals of flowers; Light of the sun burning through the skies. Woods glow emerald in midday hours-- Verdant branches where life’s nectar lies. The veil of the heavens in day’s light; Cerulean, azure peaceful bay. It heralds the coming of the night, And departure of a clear skied day. Royal raiment of princes and kings, Yet in nature no advantage brings.
