Ode to Senior Year
(poems go here) Senior year is ending, it is coming to a close,
Senior year is ending, the past four years as delicate as a rose.
Through tradition and sisterhood we have all come together,
Like peanut butter and jelly, we will stick together forever.
We spent countless hours looking forward to paradise,
We ignored our elder's words, "live in the present, time flies."
We wrote and read until we fell asleep on our books,
We did not feel we were seniors until the freshmen noted our intimidating looks.
Prom practically promised us a wonderful sight,
We partied like Gatsby until the clock hit midnight.
The building danced with every step we took,
The cameras were flashing as we twisted and shook.
Then Sport's Day arrived and the seniors took the prize,
We prowled to conquer the jungles right before the underclassmen's eyes.
We cheered, danced, and painted to our tribal call,
For the first year in coming we worked too hard to lose this traditional brawl.
As the seniors wait for that last ding ding ding,
We realize the past four years have been absolutely amazing.
As our fingers lightly touch our silky, soft white dresses,
We stand around together and reflect on our past successes.
