An Ode to Sleep

Oh, Sleep!

First, a moment of silence.

For the way your snores

roll of my tognue, like

confused little gnomes

calling for their princess.

Oh, Sleep!

How you hold me,

comfort me as

if nothing else

exists.

Oh, Sleep!

The love of my life

is not a woman.

It is the soft dreams that

You shisper in my ear.

Oh, sleep!

How I do care for you.

You are as close to peace

as i can get.

For there is no better peace

then a small breath.
