Ode to Sound

It surrounds us everywhere
Dancing, singing all around
Painting on the silent air
And though it’s presence isn’t rare
Many minds it does confound

Filling empty with it’s blare
Telling stories so profound
Causing empty hearts despair
Or carrying heart’s hopeful prayer
Bringing lost to stable ground

It is made for us to share
Either simple or compound
Either encourage or scare
Motivating our souls aware
It is the music of sound
