Ode to Summer

The sun is shining high in the sky, summer fun is just nigh.

Sunkissed skin and  bleached out hair,  he jumped in the pool because it was a dare.

The waves tucked in the shady beach, the sunset looks like a bright ripe peach.

Shorts and Sperry's worn lately, I enjoy the summer greatly.

Sunglasses and tank tops adorn everyone, no one cares, they're all having fun.

Awkward tans and cute faces, I've taken pictures in many places.

Cruisin' down the street, tapping my finger to the beat.

Laughing and joking, the bonfire is smoking.

Many adventures and treasure maps, boys always wearing baseball caps.

I'm waiting for summer 2k14.
