An Ode to Tea

Fri, 08/09/2013 - 22:41 -- DaXue

With what drink shall I fill my cup today?

Too many liquids are poisonous sweet.

Many more unfit or bland tasteless spray

So the solution? Tea, the time is meet.

Tea, you truly are the most wondrous cure,

That one administers, well or ill.

Your healing powers are steady and sure,

Your taste and your warmth unparalleled still .

You take your form in countless humble leaves,

That rightly prepared make water flower

And fill with colors white, black, red, and green

All admire your most impressive power.

To all who drink, you make a gift of health

And expose them to your flavorful wealth.
