An ode to those I Love
This ode goes to those who have showed me kindness,
When I was was upset and showed my weakness,
To those who have chased away solitude
And gave me love, humble actions, and gratitude.
Trust and love go hand in hand,
And thus this made me to be a better man.
Thank you to all my closest friends.
To those I love dearest and true,
You may not believe me through and through,
For I do not come out of my shell to express
What I do not typically confess,
That I love you all from the deepest well of my being,
With few of you ever seeing,
You are my spirit and my soul, my closest friends.
The kinship you, my friends, have presented,
Is nothing short of what love is represented.
Unsheathed love has come from all of you,
All of my friends have undoubtedly rained true,
That love comes from ones who respect you the most,
And don’t treat you like a bodily host.
May we stay true to each other and this ode never end.
