Ode to thought

As I inhale the year,

I exhale my inner thought.

I did it.

I have lived, breathed another second, another minute,

Another

Year.

My pulse dances to the beat of my celebration,

and although I am tired,

I am alive.

My veins are filled with my words,

My angst,

My love,

and they circulate.

As I inhale the year,

I wave hello to my new thoughts.
