Ode to Travel

Location

Open your eyes

To the world around you.

The beauty taken for granted

By some

And awed by strangers.

The sweet and enticing smell

Of new soil and unfamiliar tides.

The echo of lives surrounding you

And the invigorating soar of your heart

As you land.

The shadow of the last sowed to your feet

As you tip-toe through the next

With a map and a destination.

The need to take in everything at once

Yet one at a time

Takes over you as if

You feel there is no other time

But now.
