Ode to Wind

The breeze that aids to Cool us with sweat Evaporation and Moving the clouds that Aids our plight From the heat of The blinding sun. Shift and keep clouds Above and a strong breeze To assist us in the decrease in The boiling heat. We wish for the wind To bring clouds to Shade us from the sun and It’s destructive power, Blow strong to cool our Sweat covered bodies. Wind that causes vast storms to come and Rain their force upon the earth, Bring us some cooling Sprinkling of rain, Not a drenching downpour, Just a sprinkle to reduce The humidity of the days we work Below the heat of the sun.
