Ode to Words

Words are caught in the throat,

As emotions yearn to burst from the heart

The mouth mutters the words learned by rote

Secluding the feelings in the dark

As the mouth fails the hands activate

To express the suppressed words

And convey one’s deepest thought like a mime

The hands perform while the mind meditates

Crafting a story with the ease as the flight of birds

Written, the words last till the end of time.
