ode to you

up or down right or left i walk. i am climbing up way too fast. too steep. i am walking on the back of my hand. treading slowly, slowly treading. wandering aimlessly. there it is. the house i know all too well. without seeing, i sense it. i sense the people who inhibit it despite the reality they are far, far away. it pains me to think about it. my dear you are a godsend i would be nowhere without you. this is my ode to you. how i miss that face. how i miss that family. how i miss the adventure. how i miss you. this is my ode to you. regardless of this this reality i seem to face, i know that we are together forever, despite the distance we are sure to face. because you will forever be in my heart. dear friend this is my ode to you.
