Odysseus

Ba'ding... the screen lights blue

temptation so stong

my fingers vacuumed to the screen

Oops!

Chinese fingercuffs extending off my fingertips

Driving my car

Ba'ding... the phone calls out again

blue lights flashing as it calls

temptation rises but as I notice my fingers,

temptation ebbs.

Without the digital fetters to the phone,

Finger fetters only

Now, deeper conversation with my girlfriend

I realize it's time to move on

Digital and real relationships gone
