Oedipus

Oh dear gods, reach down and place a fortification structure over my destiny.
Man replies, "With great triumph, comes great tragedy".
I was saved by the one whose blood now must be shed.
Oh, Great Mighty One,  spare me my long written prophecy!
I must now take these points and darken my world partially.
