Oedipus: A New Chapter
The world was spinning
around and around and around
and it honestly, makes me dizzy thinking about it
thorns scraped my limbs
rocks imposed themselves upon my bones
one razor-sharp slab of granite sliced open my foot
blood flowing everywhere
suddenly i hit the flat ground
i saw the sheperd walking toward me
the world around me ceased
this morning i woke up
the sun forced my eyelids open
i recalled my dream but it was different now.
subconciously my hands reached down
grabbing my foot
rubbing the scar tissue
"King Oedipus?"
I was being summoned.
I disregarded the strange feeling about the dream
little did i know it was not a dream,
it was a memory.
