Offering

When I stare into the fire

I see the devil dance

A deadly grin lays on his lips

A tempting offer rolling in his palm

Out I reach with trembling fingers

But when I'm close, out flies a dagger

Burning my vulnerable flesh

A warning, but still I accept.
