I hate temporary.

When something brings you so much joy, but you know it will never be there after.

When something is obviously real, but it is as fleeting as laughter.

I hate ephemeral.

There when you want it, never when you need it.

There when it’s acknowledged, gone when unrecognized.

I hate volatile.

While it lasts: brilliantly explosive.

While it fades: depressingly destructive.

Most of all, I hate circumstantial.

Real only when attainable,

Dead when unavailable.
