An hourglass figure?

Big boobs and a big butt?

Plastic surgery?

Lip injections, botox or a nose job?

Hair extensions, a pound of makeup, and long nails?

How about a spray tan to mask my porcelain skin?

A thigh gap and twiggy legs?

A flat tummy with toned abs?

Prominent collarbones that stick out so far that they might hit you?

Straight teeth that are always a blinding white?

Five foot ten and one hundred twenty pounds?

Only ear piercings and no tattoos?

Perfectly clear skin that's silky soft?

Cheek dimples and teeny-tiny brown freckles?

What will it take to make me beautiful?

Oh, America, 

what are you teaching us?

How many people could reach your beauty standards?

HOW MANY??

I don't want to apply a pound of makeup!

I don't want my hands to be handicapped because of those nails.

I don't want to cover my tattoo.

I don't want to remove every piercing I have. 

What will it take to make me beautiful?

I see beauty in the mirror.

But you see my double chin and my big thighs.

You see my obviously not flat tummy and my pigeon toed feet.

Who will I be in the end?

How broken down do you want me?

How big is the toll you are going to take?
