Oh Bird
Oh bird, oh bird I see
So unknowing, and yet so free.
Oh bird, oh bird I see
Spare me, not one but both of your wings.
Show me the vast living spaces,
In which you fly,
Or the hazardous places,
In which you die
Oh bird, oh bird I see.
Oh bird, oh bird I see
So swift and soundless
Sitting in that tree
Oh bird, oh bird I see
Lend me your eyes
So I can see what you see
Show me the marvelous waterfalls and forests
From up high
Oh bird, do it before I die.
Oh bird, oh bird I see
Spare me your brain so I know
Not what to think
Show me how you sing, chirp, and dance
From tree to tree
Oh bird, oh bird I see
Listen to me bird, oh bird that I see
Just spare me both of your wings
So I can be set free and get rid of all these ungrateful things.
Oh bird, oh bird that I see
You are the only one to know how it feels to be truly free.
