Oh Coach, my Coach
Oh Coach, my Coach!
You are the Running Guy,
As you say.
“Do what I mean,
Not what I say.”
Do the best I can on this day,
As you say.
“You gotta dig in,”
As you say.
I’ll listen to what you say,
Oh Coach, my Coach.
I’ll run to where ever you say,
Oh Coach, my Coach.
“What day will it be?”
As you ask.
Today is the day,
I shall say.
He is the Running Guy,
As he says.
“There’s a method to my madness,”
As he says.
I embrace the madness,
Oh Coach, my Coach.
I use the madness,
Oh Coach, my Coach.
I’ll take the hill,
Oh Coach, my Coach.
There is no wind,
Oh Coach, my Coach.
I can be a Running Guy,
As he is.
I can run for all my life,
As he did.
Oh Coach, my Coach:
I’ll run to the ends of the Earth.
Oh Coach, my Coach:
I’ll run and run, even into the Sun.
Oh Coach, my Coach!
