Oh Dear

Beneath the stars, Lies you and me, These heavens and lights, They’re our company. Your whispers of love, Softly tickle my ear, Slip from your breath, These words are pleasing to hear. Believe me when I tell you, Our love is meant to be, But our love is forbidden, And the fault is all on me. You’re a blessing, dear, But your love I don’t deserve, And if you’re sane at all, you’ll see, The loving me should be reserved.
