Oh Me Oh My


Your smile pulled at my heartstrings, Then cut them loose - one by one. You broke my heart in a moment, Then reshaped it in the next. Your eyes made my own well up in tears Because I knew that you felt it too. You shook your head because you knew That as with anything, this wouldn't last. I shook my own head Just enjoy it. Your book was waiting in your hands My book was waiting in mine. I'm nothing but a dreamer. Ah, but the best people are. I laughed at my foolish heart, And turned away from my reflection.
