Oh Mother
Dear Mother
Why do you seem so weak
And pretend as if you are okay
Don't you know how much I worry every week
Seeing you so frail and bleak
And the worst part about it
You don't even notice
There is no wit
No knowing the suffering as sharp as ice
Not from you
You simply pretend as if it's alright
But I feel as if it's more a screw
that has been forced loose
You keep forcing
Your destructive way of thinking
Onto your dear son, your fledgling
Oh how I wish I could hear you singing
To the God that has brought so much light to our world
All I get is ringing
That comes from the past Mother
Oh Mother
Sweet, beautiful Mother
I miss the days
When you would've never dared to see me as a bother
