Oh Mother, My Mother

My mother loves me.

Nurturing me.

Promising me a future.

My mother loves me.

Playing with my hair.

Screaming that she cares.

My mother loves me.

Beating her love in my memories.

Causing my miseries.

My Mother loves me.

But why?

When engulfed by dirt, she is.

I still get hurt.

I will reminisce about her presence.

While looking at my own.

Silencing my vengeance.

My mother loved me.
